Victory Okuboarere
Victory Okuboarere was working as Superintendent of New Foundations when he was shot and murdered in front of his family for standing up for truth, knowing it may cost him. He died on April 26th 2020.
Victory joined New Foundations at its inception in 2003 and was studying at college in laboratory sciences, sponsored by the Mission with the aim to establish a fuller laboratory service for the clinic.
He leaves three daughters and his wife.
He was a quiet and conscientious man, with the rare ability to pour oil on any conflict and always seek a prayerful and considered response to any altercation. Pleasing , and serving God were his principal desires.
Patricia, his wife, always recounts how with any problem he would respond that first they must take it to the Lord and commit the issue in prayer.
He often was seen in the Mission station walking around in the dead of night praying, and he had a great dedication to the work seeing the Mission as a calling and never as simply as a job.
He continues to be missed, his qualities hard to replicate but continue to influence and inspire the rest of us.
He gives a short testimony here :
